Every Realtor has his own style of doing business and avoiding trouble.  Agents develop strategies which help them circumvent pitfalls in area where they lack expertise.  They attend a few seminars, rely on check-lists created by corporate strategists and glean insight from more seasoned Realtors.  When problems arise, they call their brokers.

Then there's that rare agent who understands the Real Estate profession literally inside out - from the buyers', sellers', brokers', lenders' and title company's perspective.  Mike Sturgis, of Realty Executives Southern Arizona, is one of those exceptional agents.  Sturgis has worked as a real estate agent loan manager for a major commercial lender and as a title company account executive.  His financial background, coupled with his experience in real estate management and sales, have enabled Sturgis to "customize" each transaction to his client's specific needs.  In addition, Sturgis's knowledge of what makes a transaction work from the perspective of a financial institution has made the difference between clients being able to buy a home or not.

Mike credits much of his success to his availability to his customers.  "I think much of my reputation lies in my being available to my clients.  I am not the kind of person who returns phone calls two times a day.  This just does not work for me.  They call and I answer!  This is because in my opinion, no Realtor actually sells a house.  Houses sell themselves, but we have to be available to show the houses when the clients need us to be there to show houses and counsel them in a fast-moving market."

Mike's career and life has flourished due  to a strong work ethic, an enormous flexibility and a deep harmony shared with him and his family.  Indeed, he defines success as, "a balance between your family, personal and business life making it all dance together, while at the same time earning enough to pay taxes."
